Sharla Smith
Sharla Smith has over 25 years of experience in the education field, working for one of the largest employers in her county. Along with her sister Melanie Kranz, they have co-authored and self-published a book- Princess Sophie’s Ice Cream Flight. The book focuses on the positivity of differences among humans, catering to the young minds of children from ages 3-8 years old. They promote healthy brains for both humans and adults. The second book is expected to be published in 2027. Insight Consultations desires to promote self-publishing help to other authors in the future.
Sharla Smith has worked in the insurance field, and has maintained her Property and Casualty Insurance Producer license, to serve as a resource for her local government. She is a Registered Nurse who previously worked as the Clinic Manager for a facility of six locations that treats insured employees and dependents. Sharla has extensive experience in the Risk Management, Safety, & Health industry, and she has worked in various positions to include: Health & Safety Coordinator, Onsite Employee Health and Wellness Clinic Manager, School Nurse Supervisor, Assistant Risk Manager / Safety Coordinator, Safety & Health Manager, Nurse Manager, On-the-Job Injury Nurse Consultant, and School Nurse. In 2007, Sharla worked with her Administrator to develop an Employee Health and Wellness Clinic as a start-up facility targeting employee wellness. In 2019, by working closely alongside a pharmacy- service solution, the growth of the clinic she managed soared by becoming an entity that started experiencing multi-million-dollar savings each year. This was primarily due to the success of developing an in-house infusion therapy clinic with a focus of continued savings by providing services using a select group of specialty medications. Sharla’s work as an elementary school nurse was a highlight of her life’s passion- helping children- both directly and indirectly.
Melanie Kranz lives in NC and works at her local University’s Medical Center. Prior to this, she worked for approximately 20 years in the education field at her local school system’s Central Office. This helped to foster her love of children.
